Faith Under The Stage Lights: How To Stay Rooted In Christ
These notes are for women who lift and want to walk closely with Jesus in every arena: life, gym, and business.
Journal prompts
What is your prayer life like right now?
If Jesus scrolled your Instagram, what would He see and think?
Where are you giving more attention to physique than to God?
Set apart in everyday life
“You are to be holy to me… I have set you apart.” Lev 20:26
Faith = trusting what we cannot see. Heb 11:1
We often try to be lord over our own lives. Surrender is the path of faith.
Seasons change, but faith remains steady. Ecc 3:1–3
Reflection:
Where do I need to release control and trust God?
What daily rhythm keeps me rooted in Christ?
Faith, fitness, and business
Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness. Matt 6:33
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart… It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Col 3:23–25
Practices:
Give God glory at the foundation, not just through work output.
Build a morning baseline: Word, prayer, obedience.
Integrity before visibility. Excellence as worship.
Questions to consider:
How do I discern my “why” in this season?
What does it mean for me, practically, to dedicate the journey to Christ?
Modesty: heart posture and stewardship
After the fall, humanity recognized nakedness and covered themselves. Gen 3:6–7
Your body is not your own; it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 6:19–20
Women are called to modesty marked by good deeds and humility. 1 Tim 2:9–10
In the sport:
Excellence includes self‑control in posing, posting, and presentation.
“Normal” in culture isn’t the same as “right” in Christ.
Share progress with wisdom. You do not owe the internet your body.
On being a “stumbling block”:
Everyone is responsible before God for self‑control. Matt 5:29
We still aim to present ourselves with holiness, humility, and clarity.
Heart checks:
Am I presenting myself in ways that invite objectification?
If certain environments feed old patterns, do I need new boundaries?
Staying grounded as an athlete
Anything that takes more attention than God can become an idol. Be willing to lay it down.
“Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” Phil 2:12
Fellowship matters. Iron sharpens iron. We grow best in community.
Rhythms that help:
Word before world
Prayer before posting
Stewardship over showmanship
Community over isolation
